Akron-area women entrepreneurs training program to begin in March

AKRON–Registration is now open for the Women’s Network of Northeast Ohio’s EMPOWER! Women’s Business Mastery Program. The program is designed for current and aspiring female business owners in the greater Akron area. Starting March 8, the six-week program aims to help participants create new business ventures, as well as grow and enrich existing ones. Opening retreat will host Jeff Hoffman, founder of Priceline.com as the keynote speaker. 

 Weekly workshops will run March 8 through May 17 at The Bit Factory, located at the Akron Global Business Accelerator, one of the program’s community partners. The workshops are designed to assist women in all stages of business, from the idea phase through planning the exit strategy. Sessions are led by seasoned business owners, experts and inspirational trailblazers.

Participants will receive:

• Access to experts, mentors and resources throughout Northeast Ohio

• Resources for all facets of starting and running a successful business

• Support, connections and encouragement for business ideas

• Strategic planning and operational systems for growth and profitability

• Branding and marketing, business planning, access to capital, and more

April 5: “Show me the Money!”

April 19: “Your Identity & Message – The Value of Branding and Marketing”

May 3: “The Necessary Evil”

May 17: “Make your Money Work for your Business”
