Akron Bar Foundation to celebrate “All That Jazz!” at fundraiser Feb. 4

AKRON––The Akron Bar Foundation, the fundraising arm of the Akron Bar Association, will hold its annual gala on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Akron Fairlawn Hilton.
“All That Jazz” is the theme of an evening that includes a sit-down dinner, silent auction, ‘20s music by the Jack Schantz Jazz Quartet and signature cocktails of the era.
Monies raised support the grant and scholarship initiatives of the Foundation, which awarded $50,500 in 2016 to area organizations including the Summit County Domestic Relations Court for its victim assistance program, the Battered Women’s Shelter and the Akron Municipal Court for its “Peace of Mind” program.
Scholarships totaling $37,000 were also awarded to eight area law school students.
Tickets are $125 per person for the general public and $75 per person for law students and new lawyers.
The deadline for RSVPs is Jan. 31, 2017, but early birds who respond by Jan. 15 are entered into a drawing for a free night at the Hilton.
