AKRON––The IBH Addiction Recovery Center's Board of Trustees has named Jonathan Wylly as its new executive director.

Wylly was selected following a nationwide search to find a leader who brings extraordinary leadership expertise in publicly funded addiction recovery organizations.

He has been responsible for the financial performance of these organizations and has extensive experience within the publicly funded addiction recovery and mental health services field.

Wylly has extensive experience directing multidisciplinary teams and staff. His past responsibilities include financial management and operational controls, contract management, information systems, and facility management.

"I look forward to tackling the challenges that IBH and the addictions treatment field face now and in the future.  Together we will travel far,"  said Wylly.

Before accepting the position at IBH Addiction Recovery Center, Wylly has served as chief financial officer for Franklin County's Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services Board (ADAMH) since 2001. Previously Wylly was deputy director/chief financial officer at the Ohio Department of Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS) from 1993 to 2001.

"We are excited to welcome Jonathan Wylly to the IBH Addiction Recovery Center. We believe he has the vision, leadership skills, and executive background to execute a strategy that will strengthen our position as a leader in addiction recovery services," said Paul Adamson, chairman of IBH Addiction Recovery Center's Board of Trustees. "As we position our agency for the future, we believe Mr. Wylly has the abilities to manage our ongoing collaborations with state, county and regional addiction recovery and behavioral healthcare leaders.

“Mr. Wylly possesses a wealth of experience that will be crucial to our ongoing development of addiction recovery services that are so important at a time when Ohio's Medicaid Behavioral Health is undergoing redesign and heroin and opioid overdose deaths are now the leading cause of death for Ohio residents under the age of 55."

Wylly succeeds Interim Executive Director Donald P. Finn.

Wylly will be formally introduced to the public at IBH Addiction Recovery Center's Coming Together event on Aug. 17. The event will be held at The Tudor House on Portage Lakes between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. The event is open to the public but has limited space.
