KNR donates school supplies to Ohio teachers
Published: October 3, 2025
CLEVELAND––Kisling, Nestico & Redick (KNR) recently announced the successful completion of its expanded KNR Covers the Classroom initiative, marking the firm’s 20th anniversary by fulfilling 20 teacher wishlists for educators across Ohio.
In total, KNR donated $5,000 worth of school supplies, directly impacting hundreds of students and classrooms as they kick off the new school year.
The selected teachers, representing communities across the state of Ohio, received supplies personally delivered by KNR team members. The donations ranged from classroom essentials, such as pencils and notebooks, to specialty items like art kits, STEM tools, and educational games, all aimed at helping teachers create vibrant, well-resourced learning environments.
“This year was significant as we celebrated 20 years of serving our clients and communities,” said John J. Reagan, managing partner at KNR. “These incredible teachers go above and beyond for their students every single day. By fulfilling their wishlists, we hope to take one worry off their plate and show them that their dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.”
Community members nominated their favorite teachers throughout early August via KNR’s Facebook page. The final group of recipients represents both public and private schools across the state. The 2025 winners include:
Sharon Tapolcsanyi – Coventry Local Schools; Aleia Kelly – Canfield Local Schools; Brenda Rayfield – St. Patrick of Heatherdowns School; Rachel Rice – Youngstown Academy of Excellence; Lisa Taricksa – Breakthrough Public Schools; Sarah Wolff – Westerville City Schools; Cynthia Price – Akron Public Schools; Tara Lottig – Lakewood City Schools; Christina McMullen – Akron Public Schools; Rebecca Miner – Cleveland Metropolitan School District; Keely Murphy – Worthington City Schools; Ursula Newcomb – Winterfield Venture Academy; Isabella Schenking – Trotwood Madison Schools; Becky Schultz – Saint Ambrose School; Brionna McDonald – Trotwood Madison Schools; Sarah Stanyard – ACLD School & Learning Center; Jennifer Harvey – Columbus City Schools; Tara Colando – Akron Public Schools; Nikki Neuman – Dayton Public Schools; Cindy D'Orio – Akron Public Schools.
In addition to the 20 wishlists, KNR also surprised Macie Willison, a first-year teacher at the newly built Green Middle School, with a bonus donation to help set up her very first classroom.
“This donation was a tremendous help,” said Macie Willison. “Being a first-year teacher, I don't have the supplies from the last year, the year before, and that backlog of supplies. When you’re just starting your career and just graduating from college, money can be tight.”
The initiative is part of KNR Cares, the firm’s ongoing commitment to giving back through partnerships with local nonprofits, families in need, and community-focused programs statewide.
