Try a full slate of LexisNexis litigation tools free

One of the difficulties in deciding what litigation e-tools to use is trying to figure out what companies are dependable enough to even take a look at.

Well, dependability isn’t a problem with LexisNexis. It may have other problems (like cost), but the products definitely work (although please don’t read this as an endorsement of the products).

A blogger for the company recently posted a pathway to trying out a set of litigation tools offered by the Dayton-based giant data provider, which was once a project of the Ohio State Bar Association and I’m going to post them. I don’t usually shill for these guys (they don’t need me) but free is free right?

They are all available for a fully-functional, 30-day free trial and they are all compatible with each other. So trial away!

First up is LN Early Data Analyzer (EDA) and LAW Prediscovery (LAW). EDA can process up to 30 TB of data, removing non-responsive data. LAW handles up to 3 TB of data and handles the production phase. Try them here: http://www.lexisnexis.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us/law-downloads.page.

The next free trial is for the products Concordance 10.21 and Concordance Native Viewer® v. 1.1. Concordance is one of the standard case review tools, allowing users to search, tag, redact and share cases. It now comes with Native Viewer, a fairly new tool that lets a user see “thousands” of file types in native format, “up to ten times faster.” Find the free trial of Concordance here: http://www.lexisnexis.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us/concordance-downloads.page, or you can schedule a personalized demo of the product here: http://lawpractice.lexisnexis.com/Concordance-A.

CaseMap is next. This program creates a visual map of a case, allowing a user to see connections between random facts, thoughts, laws, whatever. Not quite AI but a nice help. CaseMap’s free trial is here: http://www.lexisnexis.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us/casemap-contact-us.page.

Connect CaseMap with the timeline-creating TimeMap. Build a chronological walkthrough of a case. The TimeMap free trial is here: http://www.lexisnexis.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us/timemap-contact-us.page.

The last product in the free trial bundle is Sanction, described as “software…like PowerPoint except you don't have to memorize which slide is where. Just select an object in its database, and boom — it's up on the screen for the jury….The software allows you to quickly assemble documents, exhibits, transcripts, questions, visuals and video to create clear, polished and compelling presentation materials.” Find the free trial of Sanction here: http://www.lexisnexis.com/en-us/about-us/contact-us/sanction-contact-us.page.

So don’t say I never gave you anything.
