I briefly mentioned LegalNature Pro in a previous survey column, but it seemed like a product that would be worth a more expanded discussion—so here we are.

Nothing is more portable than a connection to the Internet. While it is now possible to access your documents in a multitude of various apps, it isn’t that easy to find forms-based document assembly on the fly. Because you really want to do document assembly while you’re waiting around for a pretrial to start.

LegalNature Pro (https://www.legalnature.com/pro) comes out of the online legal forms construction company LegalNature (of course). Using those forms as a basis, the Pro version helps guide an attorney (or paralegal) through the stages of gathering client information and then creating the appropriate documents.

A Technolawyer product description quoted Founder and CEO Corey Bray as saying that, although the platform may have been designed for laypeople, the company found that many attorneys used it as well. "Their requests for increased access and customization capabilities led us to develop LegalNature Pro," said Bray.

Document forms in LegalNature Pro are available for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Currently, doc asembly is available in the fields of business forms, estate planning and wills, employment and HR forms, family law and real estate.

There are also some sub-fields available, depending on the number of documents in the database. For instance, business documents include bill of sale, sale of goods agreements, invoices, purchase agreements, promissory notes, and others.

The service allows multiple users in a firm, is secure and encrypted, and integrates with a number of other web apps. It is particularly set up to integrate with Clio, and the two use their encrypted data to communicate with each other.

It creates documents by asking a series of questions. As the questions are answered, the document is created in real time in your browser. Because it allows multiple users in a firm, multiple people can work on a single document.

The finished documents can then be exported as either Word docs or PDFs.

Pricing for LegalNature pro starts at a little under $60 per attorney per month. A free trial is available.
